As of May 1, 2026, ÍøºìºÚÁÏ (WCM) is no longer in-network with UnitedHealthcare Compass plans. This applies to all WCM physicians, including both primary care providers and specialists.ÌýÌýÌý
Patients currently undergoing active treatment—such as thoseÌýin the midst ofÌýa course of care, pregnancy, or other ongoing clinical management—may be eligible for continuity of care. This provision may allow them to continue seeing their WCM provider for a limited period at in-network benefit levels; however, eligibility isÌýdeterminedÌýby the health plan and requires prior authorization from UnitedHealthcare.ÌýÌý
While WCM is out-of-network for UnitedHealthcare Compass plans, WCM physicians doÌýparticipateÌýin other Marketplace plans, including AnthemÌýHealthPlus,ÌýEmblemHealth, Fidelis Care, Healthfirst, and Molina/Affinity. Patients should note that participation may vary by individual provider. Patients enrolled through the New York State of Health Marketplace should also be aware that plan changes areÌýgenerally onlyÌýpermittedÌýduring the annual Open Enrollment period, unless they qualify for a Special Enrollment Period due to a life event or other qualifying circumstance. Open enrollment for New York State of Health (NY State of Health) marketplace plans begins on November 1, 2026. For Qualified Health Plans (QHPs), the deadline to enroll for coverage starting January 1, 2027, is typically December 15, 2026.ÌýÌý
For UnitedHealthcare Compass members, both professional (physician) services at ÍøºìºÚÁÏ and hospital services at NewYork-Presbyterian are considered out-of-network for non-emergency care. Exceptions may apply only if a continuity of care request is submitted and approved by UnitedHealthcare.Ìý
